I hear you, but at the same time, this stuff just screams ''look at me, I'm edgy!'' so loud that I've decided not to give it any more of my time. I love how publications/writers like this claim to be apolitical because they don't fit the Republican/Democrat dichotomy. And there's a pretty pathetic ''hey I'm the real victim!'' mentality that's pretty common to these ''oppressed majority'' types.

That's a pretty good spray from de Brito, I confess to a casual fascination with him over the years as a columnist who seems compelled to expose himself pretty relentlessly (oh you know what I mean). Yes he has come across as a dickhead at times, but he's that weird hybrid, a guy who'd like to consider himself a regular Aussie bloke but who's a little too smart and introspective for that. As for this being a sacking offence/resignation letter, I doubt it... he'd still like to have the platform to ''change the system from the inside'' and they'll keep him so long as he's click-bait. And he does seem to have a following.

I concur with holyrattlesnakes' description - he's always been a shit-stirrer, years ago he was kind of interesting (the anti-everything Answer Me! and The Redneck Manifesto), but these days he's pretty much settled into the comfortable niche of white-rights, male-rights, liberal-baiting trollery. I was looking into this and similar gadgets recently, would be interested to hear what you think the sound quality's like. 24/96 is nice in theory but I expect the weakest link here is going to be the iPhone's audio hardware. I recently joined the iPhone cult and when I get frustrated with its limitations, I remind myself it's basically a phone that does lots of other things, not a computer that also does phone calls. So I expect its audio input to be geared towards voice memos, nothing much grander than that. The array of field recording apps out there make me wonder if I'm underestimating it, or if users just lower their expectations because it's a phone, not a dedicated recorder. Reports from iPhone field recorders, please?
