The government has no place subsidising culture. Governments are the natural enemy of the arts. Look at the Tote - it was destroyed at the stroke of a bureacrat's pen. A friendly roundtable discussions will bring it back. Truly good culture will either be paid for by the consumer, or will fund itself.
