When you realise being straight edge is kinda goofy and you wanna wear something besides cammo shorts, a black hoody and Saucony Jazz/Air Max 90s, what are the entry level Pitchfork bands that you would head for?

The Smiths and Joy Division are already acceptable (bleak lyrics, lots of black and white photography), even though seeing a hardcore band with a member wearing of their shirts is a sure sign of impending splitsville (my tastes have matured maaaaaan).

So what are the entry level hipster bands for hardcore kids?
