If you read the details the Greens MP behind this has basically said that the evidence suggests that fluoridisation is the right thing to do, some people disagree, the evidence should be reviewed to satisfy the doubts that these people had. This is what John Kaye said according to the Guardian
''The peer-reviewed evidence says that there are no adverse health consequences but the community on the north coast is concerned about mass fluoridation and we owe it to them to review the evidence again to be sure if it's the right way to go,'' he said. ''I'd be surprised if there were any other answer that comes out, but it's appropriate that the government responds to community concern and is open with evidence.''
I don't think this is really necessary and does play up to the whole ''teach the controversy '' strategy employed by most anti-science movements, but on the other hand they aren't making any crazy claims about fluoride either.

The lineup has actually been pretty stable for quite a while, possibly the longest lasting full lineup ever.

I'd still recommend The Metro for cheap beers + live music on a Wednesday. Starts from 9pm. Before that you could check out Gouger St / Chinatown for food. The Metro is on Grote St right by the Central Market.
