what tenzy & fluka said. the version of Sydney being described here bears little resemblance to the one I know, for one. There's plenty of interesting music happening in interesting spaces every weekend. If you think there's only one 'scene', or that it's 'dead', or that 'Sydney is fucked' you need to pay more attention OR put some stuff on yourself. Sydney can be a hard place to live and make art, yes. Don't give in to the logic that says that's all there is to it, it's just insulting.

I like this album, and I was surprised at how much it comes off as a pop record.
