it's worth it, sonian. we were midway through a full rewatch (the fly episode, hank in the car park ie. quite possibly the best few hours of TV on DVD that exist) when a bunch of other stuff happened and we haven't been able to get back to it. yeah, i'd like to finish it up, but i don't know if i'll find the time.

everything else in my life (and i mean EVERYTHING) is right where i want it to be. embracing the future is my main priority at this stage.

best console to get in a box RIGHT NOW would be, i reckon, a ps3. the playstation network works. they've already been hacked once and i don't think they want to go through it again. also, it is my experience that when a new playstation machine comes out you've got devs running to play catch up with the hardware while someone else is still figuring out a way to get the MOST out the previous generation console. also the price of games (secondhand, or just old stock) is relatively cheap and is only going to drop once they start spruiking games for the ps4. it's also a cd/dvd/bluray player, is easily replaced if broken and a total chick magnet.

i've given it a fair bit of thought.

we usually do a previous season binge before a new one starts. we have the first two on bluray so no doubt some time in the future we'll watch it ALL again. that's not depressing in the least.

i also endorse the Headhunters vote. sadly the copy we watched kind of fucked up a bit and we had to wait about 45 mins to watch the last 15mins. ruined the flow but not the film overall.
